Achromatic waveplate
Dayoptics has special designed achromatic waveplates by using four pieces of low order waveplates. Each waveplate extinction is shown on the plot below with blue, green and red curves, and the over effect extinction of four pieces is show in the black curve. From the curve, you can see that the bandwidth of such achromatic waveplate is very wide (more than 200nm), while the achromatic waveplates main a nearly constant retardance over a range of wavelength.
